DAY 2
May 20, 2007 (Sunday) 551 miles today 9 1/2 hours of driving After a very good night of sleep we are on our way 7:00 am central time. We have been eating healthy
and hope to maintain this throughout the trip. Breakfast was a good bowl of cereal & fruit, and for lunch we had sandwhiches.
We are currently entering Texas at this time (1:30pm central time). 4:30 pm
central time we arrive in Houston, Texas through Louisiana and Texas I-10 was pretty much a bumpy road. Great weather
today a little overcast temps were around 83 degrees. We stayed at the Traders Village RV Park in Baytown on the west
side of Houston. The name Trader Village made perfect sense to us when we arrived. Quite the experience, Traders Village is
a huge and I mean huge indoor flea market. It was really pretty cool and a nice place. The RV park is pretty much one
large parking lot with trees and nice grass areas and very nice facilities a club house and swimming pool, I would stay
here again and be sure to have time to walk the flea market. Jerry and Ashley did get to have about an hour inside the flea
market and Jerry did a good job in spending money, ha ha. Well that is about all for today.  |
